Bishop Lester M. Cox is the son of Reverend Carlos and Corrine Cox and was born and raised in Nassau Bahamas. In 1987 he graduated from The University of Tennessee (Chattanooga) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and worked in International Private Banking for 12 years. In 1988 he married his college sweetheart Elder Vanessa and they resided in her home island of Bermuda for a few years. It was here that Bishop Cox became actively involved in Ministry under the guidance of his mentor and spiritual father Dr. Goodwin C. Smith. Bishop Cox and his wife Elder Vanessa being led by God felt that it was time to spread their wings outside of denominational confines and on March 4 2007 they founded Word of Truth Ministries International. Along with their two children L. Matthew and Hilary, the first service had some 120 persons in attendance in The Dundas Performing Arts Center Building, Mackey Street, Nassau Bahamas. Bishop Cox has traveled extensively to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to such places as India, The Caribbean, The United States of America, and South America. It is his desire to cause people whose lives are broken and battered to walk in wholeness and completeness through The Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
